45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: (Luke 24:45-46 AV)525. Fulfillment - Jesus Christ opened the understanding of His disciples that they might understand the Scriptures. All things had to be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses, the Prophets and in the Psalms, concerning Jesus. It is written in Scripture that Jesus Christ should suffer, and rise from the dead the third day, and therefore, the Resurrection was the fulfillment of that prophesy. And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. (1 Corinthians 15:17 AV)526. Forgiveness - Through the LORD GOD's grace, you have redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins. It was not by the blood of goats and calves, but by the blood of Jesus. He entered into the Holy place, and obtained eternal redemption for you through his and Resurrection. Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. (Romans 4:25 AV)587. Justification - Justification means that you are acquitted from the sins you have committed. Jesus Christ died for your sins, and his blood acquitted you of guilt. Christ was crucified for your offense, and was raised again for your justification. Because of Christ's Resurrection, the LORD GOD's grace allows your acquittal. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. (Rom 8:34 AV)588. Intercession - When Jesus Christ was crucified, your ability to communicate with the LORD GOD went to the grave with him. It was only after he was Resurrected and ascended to heaven that you have the ability to have a relationship with the LORD GOD. Jesus Christ stands at the right hand of God, and entreats him to deal with you favorably. He makes intercession for you, and allows you to bring all of your needs to the LORD GOD through him. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. (1 Corinthians 15:18-19 AV)589. Gives Hope - If you have faith in Christ, and walk with him, and dedicate your whole life to following him, and at the end of your life, you die, then what hope is there? Your life would be miserable, as you served the one that you love, knowing that someday you would be separated from him forever. Through Christ's Resurrection, you have hope that you, too, will be resurrected also. You have the ability to believe that you will never be separated from your Lord Jesus Christ as a result of death. His Resurrection gives you hope of eternity. 14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. (1 Corinthians 15:14-17 AV)590. Makes faith real - If Jesus Christ is not risen, then the life you have chosen to live, dedicated and following the Lord Jesus Christ, is a waste. If Jesus Christ is not Resurrected, your faith is worth nothing, and you are a fool. Thank the LORD GOD! The Resurrection of your Lord Jesus Christ is true and real. He is risen! He defeated death! Hallelujah, Praise be to God! As a result of Jesus Christ's Resurrection, your faith is made real. The act of giving up of your life for the life of faith in Christ, is true and actual and will result in the promises of the LORD GOD being given to you. 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: (Romans 1:3-4 AV)591. Proves Jesus Christ as Son of the LORD GOD - The LORD GOD declared Jesus Christ the Son of God by giving him the power, through the Spirit of Holiness, to be resurrected from the dead. 30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. (Acts 2:30-32 AV)592. Sets Christ on David's throne - The LORD GOD swore an oath to David, that the fruit of his loins according to the flesh, would be raised up to sit on his throne. Christ was resurrected from hell, without his flesh seeing corruption. He was raised up to sit on the throne of David, King of all the LORD GOD's people, as prophesized. 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. (Acts 4:10-11 AV)593. Establishes Christ as corner stone of all building - All things for the LORD GOD are built on the foundation of Christ. Jesus Christ is the corner stone that all other things are fashioned around in the LORD GOD’s Will. The same Jesus Christ who was crucified and set aside as despicable, has been raised from the dead by God and established as the most honorable, important, and prominent head of the building of the Will of the LORD GOD. Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. (Acts 17:31 AV)594. Guarantees Christ’s coming judgment - The LORD GOD has appointed a day in which he will judge the world of righteousness. On that day, he has ordained the judge, Jesus Christ, to accomplish that task. By raising Christ from the dead, the LORD GOD has given assurance to all men for that great and awesome day of judgment. That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles. (Acts 26:23 AV) 20 ¶ But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. (1 Corinthians 15:20-23 AV)595. Seal the believers resurrection - Jesus Christ was the first that rose from the dead. He shows light to his people. He is the firstfruit of the LORD GOD’s chosen people that sleep in their graves. In Adam, you must die, so to be of Christ, you are made alive. |
